Steering Committee Wraps Up

Posted on 08/30/201911/18/2019 by Admin

The Mid-Willamette Homeless Initiative Steering Committee held their final (for now) meeting at the Mid-Willamette Valley Council of Governments (MWVCOG) offices yesterday. Most of the meeting was spent previewing the actions that they would have to take immediately upon reconvening as the Mid-Willamette Valley Continuum of Care (CoC) Development Council. Those tasks included choosing a name and a “collaborative applicant” for the new CoC, developing a governance charter, and preparing documentation of their efforts to submit to HUD. In addition, much of the meeting was spent discussing the Rural Oregon Continuum of Care (ROCC) Review and Ranking Committee’s apparent conflict of interest issue, ultimately deciding to bring their concerns to the attention of ROCC’s collaborative applicant, Community Action Partnership of Oregon (CAPO) through a letter. The first meeting of the Development Council will be September 24, 2019, at MWVCOG.
