Area Providers Gather in Independence

Thursday morning, September 19, 2019, Independence City Manager Tom Pessemier and Monmouth City Manager Scott McClure welcomed area providers to Polk County Fire District One fire station in Independence. The group reviewed the timeline for forming a local continuum of care, asked questions about the organizational structure, and offered comments and suggestions on the draft governance charter. Several representatives had not attended either of the first two meetings (in bold).

Housing providers represented at the third meeting:  Shelly Ehenger, City of Salem;  Kristin Keunz-Barber, Northwest Human Services; Robin Winkle, Shangri-La;  Brenda Powers and Ray Powers, WestCare Veterans Home; Amy Hamilton, Development Northwest; Tiffany Ottis, Family Promise.

Supportive and preventative services providers represented at the third meeting: Cyndi Leinassar, Salem Health;  Ian Dixon-MacDonald, Marion Polk Food Share; Julie Conn-Johnson, Salem Keizer School District; Shaysee May, Northwest Senior and Disability Services; Don Phillips, WestCare; Levi Herrera, Mano a Mano.
