Development Council Inaugural Meeting

Posted on 09/25/201901/19/2020 by Admin

The first meeting of the Development Council (DC) was held yesterday, September 24, at the Mid-Willamette Valley Council of Governments’ (MWVCOG) offices on High Street in Salem.  (See here for the agenda and here for a roster of DC members.)

At this meeting, the DC decided that the name of the new continuum of care would be “Mid-Willamette Valley Homeless Alliance” and authorized a letter formally notifying the Rural Oregon Continuum of Care (ROCC) of the pending separation of Marion and Polk counties’ geographic area from ROCC. The DC also approved an agreement with North Star Leadership to facilitate separation negotiations with ROCC. The remainder the meeting was spent reviewing the first draft of the governance charter. See meeting minutes here.
