Polk Warming Center

Posted on 10/25/202110/29/2021 by Admin

The Polk Warming Centers will be open Friday/Saturday/Sunday nights (Oct.29-31). The regular Warming Center season will start up November 1st.

If you are interested in donating or volunteering, please follow this link: https://polkwarming.weebly.com/get-involved.html. We are especially in need of building up our driver and overnight host pools in preparation for this season. Thank you!

Please help us spread the word to those who may need a warm, dry, and safe place to sleep this weekend — showers and laundry are available as well!

Location: Dallas Alliance Church
775 E Ellendale Ave (white schoolhouse building)

As always…

  • Intake is 7-9 p.m. For the safety and courtesy of all guests, please check in during this time if possible. After hours or to arrange transportation, please call 503-949-4987.
  • The warming center operates from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • Transportation can be arranged within rural Polk County if needed.
  • Families and pets welcome.
  • Due to the ongoing pandemic, we will continue taking common precautions as well as extra cleaning to ensure the safety of our guests and volunteers.
