127 people representing themselves and/or 76 different agencies participated in the 2nd annual CoC Summit on February 10, 2022. The event kicked off with a Year in Review presentation, followed by a keynote address from Dr. Johnny Lake on Navigating Multicultural Contexts. Attendees also participated in breakout sessions – one offered as a keynote follow-up by Dr. Lake, one to explore the challenges of providing low-barrier shelter, and another focused on ending youth homelessness. The Alliance is scheduled to submit a Coordinated Community Plan to End Youth Homelessness to HUD in mid-March. Once approved, the plan will guide strategies for cross-system collaboration, program expansion, and distribution of $3.5M in Youth Homeless Demonstration Program funds for the Marion-Polk region.
